Monthly Recipes #1!

As I said before, here is this month's recipe! Today, Rico brings you the delicious Nigiri (Finger) sushi! This three-ingredient sushi recipe is different than a sushi roll because it is not rolled at all. Rather, rice balls are gently stuffed with bite-sized pieces of wasabi and fish, which are then dipped into soy sauce for a quick ad satisfying meal.

Ingredients:

  • 4 ounces raw fish of choice (such as salmon or tuna).
  • 1 tablespoon wasabi paste, to taste.
  • 1 cup cooked sushi rice.
  • ¼ cup soy sauce, for serving.

Directions:

First, lay the fish on a plate and spread the wasabi paste along the middle of the fillet. Slice the fish into bite-sized pieces., about ¼-inch to ½-inch thick. Next, moisten hands with cold water and place a small ball, about 2 tablespoons, of sushi rice in your palm.
Then, firmly press one or two pieces of fish, depending on the size, onto the rice. Use your hands to shape it into an oblong log. Finally, serve with soy sauce for dipping.

The Penguins' Movie!

Can this be true? The penguins would star in their own feature film?
It was announced in March 2011. It is to be directed by Simon J. Smith, the co-director of 'Bee Movie', produced by Lara Breay, and written by Alan J. Schoolcraft and Brent Simons, the writers of DreamWorks' 'Megamind'.
The plot hasn't been told yet. I hope it's about how the penguins first met and became a team! Let's hope Dr. Blowhole isn't in the movie...

Skipper and Marlene?

Do Skipper and Marlene secretly 'like' each other... or are they just friends? This question seems to be in everyone's mind! Rather than Julien, who also seems to be interested in her, she prefers Skipper's company. It seems not to be true, as Skipper is paranoid, while Marlene is naive and optimistic. Some people say 'Opposites Attract!' Let's find out!

Marlene's Hints:
In Episode 'Otter Things have Happened', Marlene was set up with Fred. But after breaking up with him, Skipper seemed to be fairly happy, unlike the other penguins, especially Kowalski. She often asks the penguins, especially Skipper for help.
In Episode 'Otter Gone Wild', Malene wildly falls for Julien. But later, she notes that she was not pleased with the thought of falling for Julien, who, on the other hand, thinks that she likes him!
In Episode 'Haunted Habitat', after Skipper and Marlene got out of the sewer, she was a bit touched when Skipper said that he wanted to have Marlene with him when he goes into the sewers again!
In Episode 'Roomies', she danced with Skipper in excitement after hearing she would get a new roommate.
In Episode 'The Big Squeeze', Savio arrives at the zoo and starts eating all the mammals. Marlene, after being eaten, says, "Skipper! He's always got a plan!". This shows that she counts on him and respects his opinions!

Skipper's Hints:
Wasn't he already married to a doll in Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa? If the series took place after the events of the second movie, then where's his wife now? Did she die or what?
Even if he thinks mammals are morons, especially due to his dislike for Alice, he claims Marlene to be 'Smart', which points out he cares for her! He would normally change his mind if Marlene requests him to do something, probably to impress her! Skipper is the one who is always concerned of Marlene's well-being, whenever she's in trouble... more than the other penguins! In Episode 'The Otter Woman', he falls for Marlene (This was a accidental, as he didn't realise it was really Marlene bleached in chlorine, thinking she was an Arctic mink named 'Arlene')!
In Episode 'The Falcon and the Snow Job', he falls for the hawk named Kitka, but later breaks up with her! It's a good thing Marlene was there, and if she was, what would have happened?

Anyways, it was interesting to know some of these hints about the two. I hope that they are couples sooner or later. Suggest other hints if you know any!

Alex is Back?

Been in Wikipedia lately? Guess what? Alex, the Lion will appear in the one-hour T.V movie, 'The Return of the Revenge of Dr. Blowhole'. It will air on 9th September, 2011! That's good to know! Maybe there's some reason they're trying to bring Alex into the show. Alex and Skipper have a bit rivalry, as shown when Skipper calls Alex a 'Psychotic Liar', and when Alex calls him 'The Psychotic Penguin'. Alex had an argument with the penguins that they can't handle anything seriously, in 'Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa', after their plane crashed in Africa. But this time, Skipper and the penguins must defeat Dr. Blowhole and Hans. I hope Alex and Skipper get in good terms rather than fighting.

Kowalski and Doris...

Check this out! Kowalski and Doris are made for each other!

Unfortunately, it is revealed in the Episode 'Hot Ice' that she broke up with him, as mentioned in his poem:

'We swam as One,
I touched your Gentle Flipper!
Then You were Gone,
You wanted Someone Hipper!'

In the Episode 'Driven to Brink', Skipper says, "No, no, Doris! Kowalski must never know!", while dreaming. Does he have anything to do with Doris? What would happen if Kowalski finds out? However, rumours say that she is with Dr. Blowhole now! Poor Kowalski...
